Code Label Definition
CHCIR Church Circle A simple diagrammatic ekklesia-health diagnostic widely used in DMM (Disciple Making Movement) and CPM (Church Planting Movement) practice. Each healthy-church practice is listed around a circle (baptism, Lord's Supper, giving, prayer, Scripture engagement, worship, love/serving, disciple-making, leadership development) and the assessing group marks each as present, emerging, or absent. The diagnostic is reproducible at every leader level — a coach can teach it in one meeting, and the resulting picture immediately frames the next discipleship conversation. Result-values are per-element present/absent/reproducing booleans recorded as gc:AssessmentDatum, NOT a 5-level maturity ladder. Dimension scheme is gc:ChurchCircleScheme (curated in gc: because Church Circle has diffuse DMM/CPM origins with no single owning organization).
EXPFL Exponential Five Levels A normative growth-trajectory ladder for the local church developed by Exponential (exponential.org), describing a church's reproductive posture along five steps: Subtracting (declining membership), Plateauing (flat), Adding (growing through addition), Reproducing (sending out planters / planting daughter churches), Multiplying (the multiplication of multipliers, generational reproduction). Distinct from gc:EkklesiaLifecycleScheme — which is a descriptive six-stage life-arc including Stalled / Reconstituting / Dissolved. Result-value is a single skos:Concept from exp:FiveLevelsScheme recorded via gc:exponentialLevel; we do NOT decompose into per-dimension ratings because the framework's published shape is a unitary ladder.
GMOSG GMO Spiritual Growth Model Global Media Outreach's 'Digital Evangelism & Discipleship' Spiritual Growth Model — the first TIER-1 (individual disciple/seeker) methodology in the registry. Assesses one seeker across six pillars (gmo:SpiritualGrowthPillarScheme — Belief, Bible, Prayer, Faith Community, Baptism, Christ-Likeness) on a five-step posture ladder (gmo:PostureScheme — Disengaged → Multiplying), fuses a per-pillar belief×action Likert pair into a composite transformation score, and rolls up to a single 1–5 Spiritual Growth Status (gmo:GrowthStatusScheme). The seeker's journey is tracked along the six-stage VITAL funnel (gmo:JourneyStageScheme). Targets a gc:Person via gc:assessesPerson; the composite status is computed app-side and materialized as gc:currentGrowthStatus on a gc:DiscipleStateManifestation (regression-capable). Owned by GMO (originating) / the 153 Collective (prospective standardizing body).
Tier 1 (individual disciple). Dimension/result vocabularies incubate in the GMO-owned gmo: namespace (Principle 11a); promotion to a shared 153-Collective scheme (c153:) is reserved, not built. Individual seeker data is a federated address (Pattern B) at the partner — never materialized in GC.
IMB12 IMB 12 Healthy Church Characteristics International Mission Board's published twelve marks of a healthy church — used by IMB field teams as a qualitative rubric for evaluating church-planting outcomes and ongoing church health. The framework is intentionally qualitative: each characteristic is observed and described in the field team's own words rather than scored on a numeric scale. Result-values are per-characteristic free-form text recorded via gc:datumLiteralValue. Dimension scheme is imb:TwelveCharacteristicsScheme (in IMB's namespace, attributed via dct:source).
IMBA IMB People Group Assessment IMB comprehensive people group assessment — GSEC (0-6), SPI, engagement status, church planting, LPI, and resource availability (Bible, Jesus Film, radio, gospel, audio, stories). All data points from a single field research process. Owned by IMB.
JPPS JP Progress Scale Joshua Project Progress Scale (1a-5). Derived from evangelical % and Christian adherent %. Owned by Joshua Project.
NCD Natural Church Development Natural Church Development (NCD), authored by Christian A. Schwarz, is a survey-based church-health framework structured around eight quality characteristics. Registered here as a stub — the full dimension scheme is not yet defined in this ontology because no GC partner currently runs NCD assessments at production scale. Per Principle 11 (Namespace Incubation), the scheme lands when a partner adopts it. Stub registration enables forward references and signals scope without forcing premature standardization.
Stub — no dimension vocabulary yet. Promote to full registration when a GC partner adopts NCD as a production assessment framework.
POE Phases of Engagement Collaborative assessment framework combining Phase (0-7), Engagement Strength (Unknown-Flourishing), and Engagement Accelerator diagnostics (12 domains). Developed by Frontiers, IMB, Joshua Project, Engage Network, Vision 5:9, and Accelerate (April 2026). Extends and supersedes the POE Phases methodology with a multi-dimensional measurement model: phase assignment (where a people group is on the engagement arc), strength measurement (intensity of gospel-oriented activity relative to population), and accelerator diagnostics (which strategic domains need investment to catalyze the next phase transition).
The Phases of Engagement Toolkit evolved from the POE Phases of Progress framework originated by the No Place Left movement. Phase definitions build on that foundation but add the Engagement Strength and Accelerator dimensions. Assessment authority resides with the toolkit coalition (IMB, JP, Frontiers, etc.); Global.Church ingests their assessments via data bridges.
